Mayor Madden Receives Endorsement of Senator Neil Breslin

Troy, NY – Mayor Patrick Madden’s reelection campaign today announced they have received the endorsement of New York State Senator Neil Breslin.

Senator Breslin said, “On critical issues, Mayor Patrick Madden has been the leader Troy needs, including neighborhood growth, financial oversight, and bringing new investment to the city. He has the experience and knowledge required to keep Troy on the path toward prosperity, and I am confident he will continue to lead with distinction and integrity. I’m proud to support him in the Democratic Primary on June 25th.”

Mayor Patrick Madden is the unanimously endorsed candidate of the City of Troy Democratic Committee, Working Families Party, and CapitalWomen. 

Elected on a platform to restore Troy’s finances and improve the city’s neighborhoods, Mayor Patrick Madden is an experienced and proven leader committed to building a brighter future for the Collar City. 

Since assuming office in 2016, Mayor Madden has delivered three consecutive balanced budgets, secured major investments to replace aging water, sewer and transportation infrastructure, and fought to secure funding and essential equipment for Troy’s police and fire departments. 

Under his leadership, the City of Troy has received over $250 million in private and public investment, helping to drive economic development, create local jobs, revitalize Troy’s waterfront, and transform vacant former industrial properties into major hubs of housing & economic activity.

Previously, Patrick served as Executive Director of the Troy Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (TRIP) for 30 years. He also served as a board member for numerous community organizations, including Rensselaer County ARC, the Neighborhood Risk Management Corporation, Joseph’s House and Shelter, Troy Community Land Bank, and the Rensselaer County Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.
